vExperts 2013
June 3, 2013
Once per year VMware takes time to present the VMware vExpert distinction to members of the community Evangelizing, teaching, helping and speaking about VMware techniques.
The annual VMware vExpert title is given to individuals who have significantly contributed to the community of VMware users over the past year. The title is awarded to individuals (not employers) for their commitment to sharing their knowledge and passion for VMware technology above and beyond their job requirements.
This was my first year being honored with the title vExpert and I can tell you that it is nice to be noticed for the time spend blogging, speaking at VMUGs, answering questions on the VMware Communities and helping others learn virtualization. I hope that in some way you’ve gotten something worth while from my time as well.
I urge others who are in the VMware trenches to pass along their knowledge no matter what level of expertise you may have. I’ve found that spending time writing blog posts has helped me to refine my skills and learn a ton in the process. I’ve also met some really great people along the way.

Also, a special thanks to John Troyer (@jtroyer) and his team’s work on the vExpert program. His time should not go unnoticed either.
